Recipe calorie calculation?

Hi...
Does anyone know how the calories are calculate when you enter the recipe in MFP tracker.... As I noticed they don't generally just add up the calories of the ingredients that you enter in...

Simple maths: calories per gram, grams per ingredient, total divided by number of portions. It's far less likely to be accurate if you use American cups because these are measures of volume (size) whereas calories are by weight, so the weights have to be guesstimated. Different foods have very different densities - 1g only = 1ml for water - and cups can be more or less packed. Try using scales when you cook.

It should do it automatically. I have three pages of recipes now, and it has always added it. Maybe it's a technical issue?
