What to do instead of running when you have been benched?

So, I like running. I like it a lot. Infact I like it so much that I ended up with some shin splints as I took it a little to the extreme...

I have been told to stay off my feet as much as I can for few days, so I do sitting weights and yoga and so on, but I seriously need some cardio. Any ideas for an alternative until I get a green light on running again?
