I'm going to be doing some painting in our bedroom, which is pretty big with 12ft ceilings---but painting is not listed on the exercise page....any ideas how I should log it? I was thinking maybe as Moderate Effort Cleaning? Just thought I'd see what everyone else thought....Thanks!

i probably wouldn't count it as exercise, i don't count cleaning as exercise either. I would count it as daily activity but thats a personal preference. I think if you want to log it light cleaning would be okay.

    I don't think there's a listing for "torture".

    I think there's a website caloriecount.com.
I just looked up shoveling snow since it's not listed on MFP.

But it's not daily activity-- who would want to paint a room daily! lol I don't count everyday cleaning as exercise, but when I go all out and do major seasonal cleaning, I sure as heck count it.

I would definitely count something above and beyond--like painting a room with 12 foot ceilings-- as exercise.
  • I went and found it on another website---and it's enough calories that there is NO WAY i'm leaving it off!!! if i have to haul my ever-shrinking *kitten* up and down ladders i want those burned calories to COUNT! :) thanks for all the input, i really appreciate it!
