Sore Knees Rheumatoid VS Osteoarthritis

I’ve been treating myself for osteoarthritis for about a year now. I’ve lost about 15 pounds, done cortisone and euflexa shots in my knees. I’ve been pretty good with diet and exercise but nothing seems to be making much difference. What I’m wondering is –Am I treating the wrong problem? Do I have rheumatoid arthritis? Any suggestions out there to help me out???

You would have to have a blood test done to determine Rheumatoid Arthritis.0

Yes only a blood test can tell you for sure but if it is ONLY your knees it is highly unlikely that it is RA. RA also has many symptoms in addition to the horrendously painful and swollen joints and it rarely singles out only one particular joint to attack.
You should still see a doctor even for the RA. They can not reverse Osteo but there are many treatments that can improve your functioning ability.0
