Do you choose hamburger or veggies?

Im posting this from a fit group that I am in. My mentor asked us what we had learned over the last month(s) and as I thought about it this was my response. THANK YOU to all the VEGGIES in my life. <3

"I was thinking about this last night. You know how as you start your journey you start to figure out what is good for you and what is not so good. Its not too hard anymore to look at a cheeseburger next to a grilled chicken wrap and not just see that the wrap is better but to actually crave the healthy over the unhealthy. The BIGGER step Im finding is to do the same with the people in my life. I think I have had a lot of cheeseburger people in my life and now by surrounding myself with more "veggies" (aka, positive people) I FEEL better. I crave the veggie people and not the drama that comes with the cheeseburger people. Ok, I know that sounds corny, but it really is simple like that. Stay away from processed people and find and love the veggies in your life."

    Love this :)
  • I guess I'll be a cheeseburger person then.

Way to label foods "good" and "bad".

If I had to choose between the two, I'd do with the cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun. Lots of protein and the fat from the cheese and ground beef would help keep me fuller for longer.

^^ did not get the gist of the message here

I like your analysis between people and food, but am afraid you're going to get the responses like this from people who only half-read your original post... :ohwell:

Oh no, I got it. Veggie people good, cheeseburger people bad.

I do the same thing, except I use "Positive" and "Negative" people.

Well I guess I should add that I choose to be a veggie in the lives of those around me as well. When you surround yourself with positive people your life improves. Im not saying people who always tell you what you want to hear. People who are good for your life, who inspire you to be the BEST you that you can be. There will always be drama seekers in our life, Im just making the choice to limit exposure. ;)
