Specific types of exercise to target lower body

Hi all,
Besides crunches, lunges and squats, are there any other exercises which I could do (at home) that targets the lower abs, hips, thighs and butt?

Although I like the hourglass shape my body is beginning to define, it's not in the right proportion. I could use to lose and tone up the lower body even more.

Any tips would be welcomed, thanks y'all!

One exercise that is good for glutes, outer and inner thighs is "leg squeezes" ..not sure if that's the real name aha. But you lay on your back, put your legs straight up in the air then let them fall to the side in a v shape. You can use your hands, but an exercise ball is better for resistance, and squeeze in. You could do reps and intervals or whatever or just do 15 or whatever is good for you. Then to add onto it you can let your feet go down so your legs are in a bend but still in that v shape. Put your feet together, and add the resistance again and squeeze and do whatever reps you are into, like before. We do these at a step aerobics and toning class i go to and i really like it!

also if you have an exercise ball, there is another one we do at step for your lower back. you put your whole body onto it then move so that ball is sitting at your belly button more or less, whatever is comfy and challenging if you wish, for you. get steady, put your hands on the front of the ball, and then using your lower back, lift your whole upper body up, stabilizing if you need it, with your hands. hold it, and release, and again, whatever reps you wish to do.

hope this helps! i find them all pretty great for those areas. good luck!

I do a lot of different stuff........one is the SUPERMAN.....lay down on your stomach with arm and legs on the ground , kinda lookin like superman.......lift legs and arms in the air, while making sure your abs are "on" . Whole body workout.

i do that one too! the superman is great! at pilates we do that and one where you just use your lower back and abs to lift up off off the ground. you fold your arms and keep your hands at your forehead and just try to lift up your whole upper body. kind of like the one i explained before with the ball, but you can do it from the floor also ! awesome exercise.
