Am I correct in my understanding that Fitbit bases your calories burned on your stats(age, gender, weight) and the number of daily steps. Besides the sleep tracking feature, does it do anything other than count steps and give you your calories expended based on that calculation?

Hmmm I have a pedometer that does that already(not the sleeping part though) so maybe I only need my HRM. Sure would like to find out what my true BMR and TDEE are though.0

Do a search for Bodymedia fit. Also lots if people have fitbit for daily activity and HRM for exercise v0

I was wondering the same thing....not sure it's worth that much $$ if its just a pedometer.0
