This is something that always had me wondering. But why the hell does he tell his real name to everyone? :ohwell:
I think he only uses fake names in 2 movies or so...

    Who says James Bond is his real name? I always took it to be a code name along with the 007. That also explains why JB can be 6 different men and M can be a women.

    Well usually his superiors use the name James Bond with him. Though it does make it questionable since sometimes they call him 007 (which is a codename).

    If you read the Flemming books, and watch the latest film, his real name is Bond.

    He is a 00 so a long life is unlikely, he just gets a buzz from it.

    Also, as said in Casino Royale, If some one is that well connected he knows who he is anyhow........BUT.....

    ....it is only fiction! :happy:

    It is his name, per the books. And he's supposed to look like Hoagie Carmichael. And it's not real.
