In the market for a fitness watch. Suggestions?

I've been doing a lot of research on fitness watches, unsure of a right one. I just need something that is simple and easy to use for when I'm working out away from a machine. Something that will tell me how many calories I burned and track my heart rate.
I heard good things about the Polar FT4 and that might be what I'm leaning towards.
Has anyone heard anything about the new Nike Fuelband? What do you guys think?
And btw, when I say I'm in the market for it, it means I'm researching it so I can ask for it for Christmas haha

I really like my 'motoactv', but it's not the simplest.
You need a separate HRM strap, but it can use the standard 'Ant +' ones.
It works as a daily pedometer, as well as recording calories burnt during exercise more accurately - it works with a wide range of exercises.0 -
If you do searches for HRM and heart rate monitor you'll see lots of posts on this. Both the Polar FT4 and FT7 are very popular. They do others with fitness tests and training coaching- take a look at their website.0
