Hey, yes unfortunately alcohol has a lot of empty calories and so using your daily allowance on alcohol means you are not using it on food which is unhealthy - you will not be eating enough.
I might factor one or 2 glasses of wine into my allowance but find I'm hungry as I've missed out on food calories.
But hey once in a while everyone likes a party so low cal alcohol like gin and slimline tonic or vodka, line and soda water are my particular faves0 -
Quit drinking alcohol?0

Try vitamin water or propel and vodka. Or crystal light and vodka.0

ISRAEL yes my friend ! i was brought up there
whiskey will be your best choice if u want to drink ... its pure empty calories , no carbs / protein / fat like mostother alcohol0 -
alcohol and weight loss don't normally mix very well.
Besides the calories, alcohol does a lot of stuff to make weight loss tough. Dehydration affects body chemistry and weight loss, it irritates the stomach lining, meaning you receive less nutrients from the food you do eat, making you eat more, it messes with the liver which changes glucose creation and regulation, and of course, the last and worst thing, it replaces carbohydrates as the primary energy source while in the system, relegating carbs to a fat storage medium instead of immediate energy.
Long and short is, minimize or eliminate alcohol consumption while trying to reduce weight, it's a big help.0 -
Don't drink as much, and avoid strong or overly sugary drinks? O_o Water down your drinks with soda water or something else if you need to, that'll maybe trick you into feeling like you've had more to drink.0

I do vodka/soda water, or champagne all for about 100 calories a serving. I fit it into my calories and i've never had a problem losing or maintaining my weight.0

^ all truth. I've also heard on a pod cast, studies have also shown that having more than 2 drinks causes your body to release cortisol (the stress hormone) which can spiral into a few other issues that make losing weight tough.0 -
Drink something non-alcoholic (like soda water with lime) in between drinks.0

I like to drink at parties. So I try to limit it to harder liquor not beers, just limit it.0
