Hi there - I've recently started doing a 'bootcamp' at my local gym, and came across this site, which is provided some extra motivation for me. I'm turning 40 this year, and my aim is to be below 60kgs (132lb) when I do. I don't think I have been less than 60kg since I was a teenager - at only 5ft tall, I should be between 110 and 132lb.

So I welcome any tips, motivation or help of any kind to keep me on track! I'm down a few pounds already. I've been here before, and I know that the first couple of weeks are the easy part... keeping on track in the challenge...

Any other Kiwis on here?? Heather

  • Kiwi here, just put this onto my iPhone and I am looking to lose 30kg but this is more of a long term thing with hopefully a significant chunk within the next 5 months.

Anyway, I hope it all goes well for you.

    Hi, Heather.

I'm also in NZ, and I've found MFP to be a very useful tool to keep track. Better than the notebook and calculator approach I'd used in the last year and a half. I guess what has changed since starting here is that I'm exercising more regularly now :)

    Good luck!
