Deadlifts?

Heyyyyy folks, I need some help from the experienced.

I live in South Korea and all the gyms I know of close to my apartment only have machines and dumbbells.

I bought a secondhand barbell and its been working for me pretty well with 29kgs in plates. I've been doing power cleans, front squats, and deadlifts.

My question: I want to buy more plates but I don't want to go crazy and spend a bunch of money, and I can't really test what I can lift.

I am 113lbs and 5ft. At what weight should I buy 2 more plates? I know it seems like a math problem, and I'll probably have a duh moment right after I post this, but just so you know going to a gym and trying it out is out of the question at the moment.

just go ahead and buy more plates if/when you can afford them.

29 kilos isn't a ton of weight, and your deadlifts will be past that rather quickly

I'd personally look for 20 kilo (I think thats the weight, it's 45 pounds in the states) bumper plates. They're the ones with a rubber like coating typically. They have some bounce in them, so when you drop cleans, snatches, deads it doesn't tear up your bar or the floor. I'd lean towards purchasing heavier plates like that instead of buying small ones. It'll save time and money. Not sure what it's like where you live but we have sites like "craigslist" where you can find used items pretty cheap.

bumpers + the bar comes out to 135 pounds depending on the bar you're using. I'd say most people can deadlift that weight after they get their form figured out.

I'm always in deadlift threads :D

I just started lifting recently, and once I was able to grip the bar (with gloves) without it slipping during deadlifts, I was easily able to lift the bar plus 80 pounds. I haven't been lifting for very long, so I bet you'd be able to lift more than that. I'm only 5' as well, 120 pounds.

Edit: Obviously by the bar, I mean an oly bar at 45 pounds. So in all, my deadlift is at 125 right now.
