Snacking vs Meals

I need people's opinions on this. I find that my metabolism has gone up since I have started to eat somewhat healthy and exercise. The problem, I'm starving before it is time for breakfast, so starving that I feel like I am going to pass out. Do I eat a snack? Or do I just "suck it up" and wait until breakfast? (I work very long shifts and can only eat breakfast at a certain time or I get into trouble). What are your thoughts?

Have a snack, as long as you fit it into your caloric intake it doesn't make a difference. You really should never be hungry to the point of passing out and it sounds like you need to speak with someone from your HR department.0

If you are hungry, eat.0

That's the most dramatic thing I have ever heard. If you sneak snacks or eat some nuts you will curb your hunger. Eating when your body tells you to is only natural.0 -
In order to keep your metabolism and body working correctly and healthy you should be taking in energy every 3-4 hours.
Your first meal of the day is best to be within 60 mins of you waking to get them fires burning. I can't offer a lot more advice without knowing your shift / work hours but I am going to presume you are taking breaks every 2-3 hours at work where you could have small (100-200 calorie) snacks to keep your self well away from the point of passing out?0 -
Why are you hungry before breakfast, why is there are 'time' for breakfast other than first thing? Eat as soon as you get up don't wait, your metabolism slows down overnight and 'breaking the fast' boosts it again.0

As long as you are hitting your calorie goals and your macros, it doesn't matter when you eat. Eat all your cals in 1 meal at midnight if you want... or graze constantly all day... both work.0

Thank you everyone for the comments. I will eat a small snack if I start feeling woozy.0

I would have assumed breakfast would be that thing before or on the way to work after you wake up, but I'd snack. If you're hungry get food.0
