When I had my goal set to lose 2lbs per week my daily calorie limit was set to 1200 calories. I havent lost 2lbs per week in a while so I looked at my goal settings and I still have it set to 2lbs per week however it says my projected weight loss is 1 lb per week. Then I decided to actually change the goal to lose 1 lb per week and it says my calorie limit is 1210 daily----how does 70 calories a week ( 10 extra per day ) make the difference between a pound? Is this because I only have 4 more pounds until a reach my goal weight? Now that I am not so overweight does that have any bearing on this strange change?

If you only have 4 pounds to go and you haven't reset your settings since you were 31 pounds heavier, MPF pretty much assumes now that you are lighter you don't need as many calories because you are lighter. I'd set it to lose .5lbs a week and eat your exercise calories...

Just guessing, but will MFP not go below 1200 daily calories? You might be at a low enough weight now that in order for you to lose 2 lbs/wk, you might need less than 1200 calories. MFP may not recommend a caloric intake that low because it would be unhealthy and/or unsafe. So, even though you enter a 2 lb. loss/wk goal, it readjusts automatically.

MFP sets 1200 as the absolute minimum due to legal reasons.

You could have said 2091873409123487091283740986509614305960986234 pounds a second and it'd still sat 1200 calories.

    Basically, at 1210 for 1 pound a week, you'd need 710 a day for 2 pounds a week.

When MFP returns 1200 to you, it is a VERY good indication your weight loss goals are too ambitious... or that you are VERY short.
