After effects of blood donation

Would anybody like to share his/her personal experience about blood donation and after effects of blood donation in context of gym/workout and cardio training?

    When I did donate blood I would workout before i donated then usually take the next day off or resort to a lighter workout. Now that I donate Platelets I still workout before but I'm good to go for full intensity the next day

    I donate in the morning and lift in the afternoon
    Never been a problem

    I set a PR for 5 reps on squats the day after donating...but my HCT levels were over 50 at the time of donation.

    I like to do good 1 RM good mornings before having anything to eat after I donate...

    before my annual tattoo sessions...I used to donate a lot. Never had issues. Fear not the needles....fear the unskilled Phlebo.
  • the most shared public opinion is ONE day rest.
    right now I'm not doing any strength, but just 60 min cardio, 20 to 30 min stretching and 30 push ups as stretching/warm up.
    pre donation workout is great. what I dislike in blood donations is, post donation dizziness and heavy sweating.
