Been a member of this site for quite a while now but haven't used it in a long time. In the passed few years I've yoyoed quite a lot in my weight. I started blowing up about 3 years ago after a period in my life where I was basically starved for a very long time. Since then I believe I went from 110lbs (I'm 5ft tall) eventually reaching about 180lbs, most of which was gained over a years time while I was living in Tennessee (I'm native to Ohio) All that country food >.<. But I moved back to Ohio in May of this year (At that time I was about 165lbs) and almost immediately adopted a strict vegan diet along with beginning a sort of "self discovery" journey. I estimated I had lost about 30lbs in 3 months (I had no scale) eating vegan and walking about 15 minutes a day, as my body changed very noticibly, I had much more energy, and was overall much happier, though still not to my goal weight yet. I had to come off veganism for a few months due to financial reasons, and in that, I've gained some weight back, ending me up at 150lbs as of now. Today I began eating vegan again and am very optimistic for the future. Veganism made me feel so much better, and I've never pushed it onto anyone else, but I will say I plan on becoming a lifelong vegan, my personal quality of life is just amazing with this type of nutrition and I wouldn't willingly trade it for all the meat and dairy in the world (I've always LOVED meat and dairy). I also suspect I may have pcos or a condition similar to it, so after doing extensive research, I'm now cutting out all wheat/gluten along with the meat and dairy. This sounds to most people an all but impossible thing for one to do, but I believe I can do this, and I can continue this for the rest of my life. So here it is, the first day. Thanks for reading :)
