weight loss evening out over time

I know that sometimes the scale will go up, down and even stay the same. I weigh myself 1x a week and this week the scale stayed the same. (I might have lost 1lb if you dont count my shoes). I will admit to that my food choices were not the best this past week (ex: Burger King) My question is, is it true that while i didnt lose (or gain, YAY!) this week, will it even out? Meaning next week I may lose 3lbs or maybe nothing but the next week lose and it sort of catches up? I hope that makes sense.
ETA: i know waist, etc measurements can show loss, im just asking about the scale

My experience is that the weight fell off in "chunks" rather than on command each week or day when I weighed in... and maintaining the same weight is a victory !
Hang in there! It is worth the daily discipline!0 -
As I get closer to my goal I notice the same thing. I will stay within 1 pound of a certain weight for a week or two then suddenly drop 4 or 5 pounds all at once.0
