I have one. It has a habit of turning into motorcycle parts though.

Dude, I need to hide money from myself.0
-
always do.....and I would expect him to have one too0
-
no. i have no real reason to do so.0
-
Nah. I hardly ever have actual cash on me anyways.0
-
No stash for me! I do plan to start putting away money for him/us since he has no type of retirement at all. I know, not the kind of stash you're referring to. :ohwell:0

You must have it, before you can hide it.0

My money is my money. All of it!0
-
No, my cash is her cash. Why would I hide it from her?0
-
I hide money from myself. LOL Then when I find it later its like a present to ME!!!
I do hide money, but its usually with a plan in mind. My last stash was spent on the big giant Mouse; need to rebuild it.Edited to add: "We" hide money - he knows there is money hidden in the checking account and in the house. But again - its with a plan in mind. Money in our pockets quickly burn holes.

No.. No reason. We still have to have an argument because of money0

I have a stash, but its not a secret per se. She knows that I have an account aside from the checking and savings that I use for our joint expenses, but she doesn't know how much I keep in it.0

My significant other doesn't know my Paypal funds, but he knows the password to look if he should be so inclined. I usually only ever use it to buy him present anyway. =B0

I'd only be cheating myself and my family if I did...
I do sneak in some small purchases every now and then though (under our "$50" rule).0 -

Yeah I have that too and that's where most of "my" money is.
I have the additional just because I guess. If I'm going to the scrip club, or putting some action on a game, or having a Rad Anthem kinda night then I pull it.0 -
I've got a jar of pennies hidden in my garage. Probably up to about $7, now!0
-
I hide it from my boyfriend until I save up a bunch then pull it out when we are low on cash like "surprise!". It's fun.0
-
Absolutely. I need to maintain my standard of living after she divorces me.
Just kidding. I have money hidden but have to remind her all the time where it is just in case of emergency0 -
No, there's no need to hide money from him or for him to hide money from me. We do have a stash of cash that we both use, though. Usually when we are together and want to go out or something.0

The only money I ever stash is when I'm saving up to buy him a present. Why else would I "hide" it?0

I have a stash, but it's not a secret from my wife. We're both responsible adults commited to the same goals.0

I have my own savings and checking accounts seperate from my husbands...but he knows I'm a spender and I'd never have anything extra saved besides what is in our joint accounts.
Usually the debit to his account clues him in that I ran out of my own spending money....................0 -

That must be why my SO doesn't have one. I would never tell him he couldn't go to a strip club, or put money on a game, or buy something ridiculous for his bike. It's his money, as long as we have what we need, then it doesn't matter what he spends his extra cash on.0 -

that's exactly why I have always had one...and expected him to always have one....
also because I am a shopper, and I have a policy of shopping from my stash only as the "us" money is budgetted planned expense money....
if I buy three pairs of shoes from the stash....no one can complain....it was the "stash"0 -
I don't personally, but my husband has his own stash. It's not a secret though, it's just an account that he gets money perks on from his work (sales bonus things) and he stocks it away to put into his Jeep or whatever he wants to do with it.
I'd never be able to have one, personally. It would never, ever accumulate. Spend all the money, all the time.0 -
Nope. However, I wore my winter jacket for the first time this season and found a $20 in the pocket.0

Having one secret holds the door for many.0

We have separate checking and savings accounts, his money is his, my money is mine. That said, the accounts are linked, so we can both see how much money is in both accounts, and one of us could just take the other's money (it's called trust, it's important in a marriage, I hear). Before we were legally married, we had completely separate accounts, but we occasionally discussed what we had in savings, checking, etc.. I don't see the need to hide my money, I'm an adult, I earn it, I fulfill my obligations, and the balance is mine to do with as I please.0
