Rapid Weight Gain

I'm beyong baffled. I reached my goal weight of 141 early in the year (January). I have been able to maintain my weight successfully up until now. Since November 1, my weight has steadily incrased 1 to 2 lbs per week .

I am now up 8 lbs and feel completely discouraged, upset, and somewhat worried. What is causing this rapid weight gain? It's all in my belly by the way. Do I have a gastic tumor growing inside me? What is going on?

I am not pregnant. No chance. Just finished my period and took a couple of tests.

I still exercise, though not as regularly since it is now cold outside and my main source of exercise is running/walking outside, and my diet hasn't changed much. I'm not a health freak by any means, and since I have Crohn's disease, I limit my intake of veggies, but I do always look out for calories consumed.

If you are sure your calories are still in check, then get to a doctor. Rapid weight gain could happen for a number of reasons and needs to be checked out. It could be your thyroid or any number of things.

I really have nothing constructive to add other than that I've gained about 13 pounds since mid-September, and I feel your pain.

No. I'm not on Meds. My tummy looks more bloated than usual, which is why I'm thinking I have a gastric tumor (I know, mad dramatic). I quit smoking 5 years ago.
