I know we're supposed to have eight glasses of water, but what counts toward that?

If I eat a salad and it had two cups of iceberg lettuce, can I count that as two cups of water?

I'm not sure I get really nervous making sure my counts are right so i use my handheld blender to whip up the lettuce until it's as liquidy as possible and then measure it in my measuring cup before adding it to my salad like a dressing. Way more accurate and you don't have to use any icky oily dressings or anything. Sometimes I jsut tdrink it from the cup directly. My mom saw me once and asked if I was okay. I have an appointment tomorrow.

no... lettuce does not count....
water counts as water... even flavored water counts as water but you need to track the calories of the crystal light packets or whatever flavors the water.

while lettuce has water in it, it's my opinion that only water should count as water. again, only my opinion.

I don't know. Someone told me lettuce counts as water, but he didn't mention celery. You should start a thread and ask.
