LOVE my iphone! I use Sportstracker as a GPS running tool and think it's the best! Provides lap times, distance, average pace, and also shows you a graph that has altitude and speed. One reason I chose it is because it tracks a lot more than just running. I also love the voice feedback option that it provides. At each mile a little voice comes on to tell you how fast your mile was, how far you've gone, and total time. You can sync it to social websites if you like. I listen to Pandora while I run...still too cheap for itunes :)

I hold mine while I run and haven't dropped it yet (but i have dropped it a couple times on the treadmill). I"ve been running w/ my iphone for 3 years now. I use run keeper for tracking my distance pace map etc (LOVE IT, add me lindseyabair if you start using it :) ). i also listen to pod casts while running so i keep them up on the screen so i can skip through the commericials. I have blue tooth wireless headphones which ROCK! i hate cables. But in general i dont use head phones i juts blast the music through the iphone speakers that way i can still be aware of traffic noise around me and not get run over or kid napped :)

Have my iPhone in an armband and run with Runkeeper and a Wahoo chest strap so the audio cues on Runkeeper include my heart rate. I love it. Runkeeper is the best app for running in my opinion and gives me a feeling of being safe. I paid 14 Euro for a year on Runkeeper Live so my hubby and my friends can see when and where I am running. Should anything happen to me, hubby can find me :-)
I wouldn't want to be without my iPhone and Runkeeper any more
If you don't want to carry your phone in an armband, in your hand or have it jumping up and down in a zipped pocket of your shirt get yourself running trousers/tights with a pocket at the back.

I use cyclemeter personally. I prefer the layout. And yes, it works fine for running as well! :-)

Digifit is a pretty good app. It connects with HRMs with dongle or BlueTooth. Has a nice web dashboard as well. Only thing lacking is MFP integration.

I just hold my phone in my hand. I use Runkeeper to track, but I also use Charity Miles (I run them at the same time.) Charity Miles is a free app that allows you to choose a charity to run for (or walk, or bike) . For each mile you run they make a donation (I think it's like 25 cents/mile or so.) At the end of your workout it tells you how far you've gone and how much you've donated. My last workout I chose Feeding America and ran about three miles, and it said I had donated 6 meals to the Charity. Run for yourself and a good cause!

Ok so I don't run but I walk about 4-5 miles a day with a tiny bit of jogging in there...

I use endomondo and I put my phone in an old kids sock and stick in in my bra. I hate armbands cuz I'm left with a nasty tan line.

If its raining or hot out and I will be sweating a lot, I put it in a ziploc first and then the sock for comfort.
