Haha! Well if you are a stay-at-home-mom with several young ones chances are there are several days a week **cough** ALL **cough** days a week were you don't even get properly dressed! For me that is the case anyway. I have four under four and to say I have gotten use to baggy T's and yoga pants.... well I have. However it's been my downfall. It's what I fault GAINING ten pounds in the past two months to instead of LOSING weight. (And believe me I have the baby weight X3 and then some to lose!) If you are wearing stretchy pants chances are you aren't going to notice so much that your waist is expanding! So I am now making myself get up and get properly dressed every morning! I think that is a fantastic weight loss tip!! Haha!
Any other stay at home mom's looking for "co-workers" to support them in their task of losing weight please feel free to add me!

I am a stay home mum! I get up every morning at 5:30 am in the morning to do some exercise and then shower and put on my tight jeans, with a tight shirt. As I am small, anything loose will make me look fatter.
Then the kids will get up and then, I do not stop stressing until the kids go to bed by 7:30 -8:00 pm. And then, I put on my PJ.
I never owned a comfortable house outfit which is expandable.
It is not easy to be with 4 kids under the age of four. I admire you for that. I think it will get better with time when they grow up! Mine are 6 & 4 years old. The older one goes to school and the younger one is still home. She will start KG in February.
Haven’t you tried to breastfeed? I breastfed my two girls for 13 months, and I lost the baby weight plus some extra in less than a year.
It is a good decision to be dressed ready to go out any time! It is good for the moral as well.0 -
Elastic is not your friend.0

Own a mirror? Look at yourself after a shower, you'll tell if you're improving or worsening body comp0 -

Yup. And put your shoes on and shine your sink.
(That I admitted that I know this will likely result in revocation of my Man Card.)0 -
I'm a SAHM. I have days where I lounge around in PJs all day.

I'll admit at my largest I felt little motivation to get out of my giant night gown and if I was home I would wear it all day and shamefully even admit to wearing it to stop my daughter off at school. I still have this nightgown, now a tent, and the last few days I have been off work I found myself slipping back into it...so guess what I'm cutting it up today for rags. Why do I need a nightgown from 106lbs ago? If I want to wear something comfy I can slip into my yoga pants. It's time to get rid of my fat security blanket.0

Flylady... I tried that site out a few years ago, never could get into it. But perhaps I should that lady is onto things!! Had I maybe my yoga pants wouldn't have smacked that extra ten pounds onto my butt!
As to some of the other responses....
... trying to search brain to figure out how to deal with people who actually think that I believe my yoga pants made me gain weight.... brain is starting to cramp up... this is the most exercise I have gotten all week.... oh is that a donut?!..... god stupidity makes me hungry....
Relax people.
I understand most of us here are on diets, we're bond to get a bit snarky!0 -
You will run into plenty of Hangry people here I'm pretty hangry, but I just take that **** out on my husband.0

I have already thought about this, no keeping clothes once I grow out of them. That way I can't grow back into them.... hopefully!0 -

the best tip I can give people is YOUR KID ISN'T AN EXCUSE!
I can't tell you how many friends I have who use their kids as an excuse as to why they are overweight.. I have one of the most energetic 2 year olds in the world, and I can still manage to do insanity in my bedroom with him jumping on the bed and watching me. Don't tell me you don't have time if you're a SAHM. I have a full time job and still can.0 -
Funny, when I started working from home, which was the same time or so when I had my daughter I totally believed in getting dressed and "ready" for work. So, for me this did not work so much, I just bought bigger clothes....grrr, funny now that I am losing weight I really want to get some yoga pants, thinking I will look thinner. I tried some on last year and they looked sloppy on me (even more then my big clothes), could just be the overall trauma of trying on clothes. But yes, getting dressed for me, which also means make up and hair dried and curled keeps me more productive. I am doing it now working my way back down through my smaller clothes. Maybe I should reconsider yoga pants, and not get them...
ETA: Thanks for the link to the yoga pants are irresponsible thread, about halfway down page one someone talks about how skinny physique persons have great butts in yoga pants...this was my ambition. Too funny!0 -

HA!!^^ Now hand me the card so we can hole-punch it to mark this day.0 -
Oh seriously I agree that you can't use your kids as an excuse. Since I refuse to get up early, I make exercise happen during the day! Yep when it is just me and them. I put the baby in the pack-in-play after she is fully fed and just changed. My 3 year old usually sits on the couch and critiques my moves. "Why didn't you do it like her mommy?!" and my 4 year old is usually off in the corner playing with his star wars stuff! ((I just have to constantly remind him to keep his toys out of MY area, for fear of rolling my ankle or something!)) .... so yea, and I don't workout often. Don't use 'em as an excuse though. But those freaking yoga pants.....! LOL!0
