Can you really eat too much protien? I go over my protien limit every day and the red numbers scare me .

all the research I have done indicates that having too much protein is not going to cause any problems. There isn't a benefit to getting excessive protein, but you aren't doing yourself any harm.

I aim for about 130 a day - sometimes I exceed that, sometimes it's lower, but I never eat less than 100. MFP underestimates how much protein is right. You need a good amount to build muscle, don't worry about the red number, just make sure your carb number stays green! Or at least that's what I do!

When cutting weight, protein has been shown to help you retain LBM along with Lifting Heavy Weights. 1 or more gram per pound of body weight is fine. I aim for 1.2g per pound of body weight. 200+ grams a day.

The default settings for how much protein you can have are on the low side, I think? I've manually set my macros at 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat (which means I don't have to look at those red protein numbers as often, which was annoying)

You can go to my home -> goals -> change goals -> custom and changes the ratios around, if you want. Some people try to dramatically lower their carbs in favor of protein/fat, but I think the 40/30/30 ratio is a good middle-of-the-road option.

You sure can. But it would be REALLY REALLY hard to do so.
