Weight Loss Surgery & Starvation Mode

Now I only been using this app for 5 day and love it. Based on my goal is should consume 1800 cals a day. The app said im putting myself in starvation mode if I get less then 1200 cals. I struggle to even get to 1200. The problem is I had weight loss surgery about a year and a half ago so I cant eat that much at a time...

I had the gastric sleeve which means I eat about 8oz a meal; depending on the dencity of the food.

Does the starvation mode thing still apply to me??
