Anyone read Allen Carr's Easy Weigh To Lose Weight?

I read it a few years ago and it was an eye opening read. I lost weight and even though I loved meat I ended up a vegetarian for a while after reading it.
It talks about what we put in our bodies and how we digest food, it's not full of lectures and scare stories and it doesn't tell you what to eat- it simply gives you the information.
It really makes you think. For example, the book talks about people not eating enough real fruit yet will they eat strawberry milkshakes, orange flavour sweets, blackcurrant flavour cordial..etc. Without these fruit flavours the products wouldn't taste as good. So really it's the fruit flavours you are often interested in. Why not get your craving from the strawberry itself, the natural way?
By the time I'd finished reading it I was already losing weight and eating better. I actually craved fruit and water but I could bring myself to eat meat for around 6 months after reading it. It was like I'd been hypnotised or something-it does seem to use a form of NLP/ Hypnotic language patterns within the book.
I must admit it drags on a bit sometimes but I would recommend it to people to have a read!

I found it utter rubbish. 'You will be able to eat your favourite foods and lose weight', sound too good to be true? That's because it is. It's only true if you train yourself so that your favourite foods are fruit.0

i dont read many of these books because the information contradicts everything else ive read lol, as in one book says one thing then the next is different etc so i end up baffled!
if you moderate you can eat whatever you want, in moderation. i eat all my favorite things along with a balanced healthy diet and ive halved in side its very possible x0 -

I eat all my favourite foods, even chocolate everyday and I'm losing weight. I just fit it in by having smaller portions0
