Dairy Queen

Today is my first day to actually record my progress. I have a question, my Mother and I like to go to Dairy Queen twice a week for lunch. We have the homestyle burger with mustand and discard the top bun. Anybody have any idea how I can post this on my food dairy? Thanks.

You can look up Dairy Queen on the net and get their nutritional value. Then when you go into the food diary to post just add the food with 1 sandwich as the serving or whatever. Just google Dairy Queen and you can get their nutritional info off their site.0

I think with out the top bun and all of the other condiments like mayo or "special" sauce, you could still look up the nutrional value, but reduce the serving size to "0.75". Something is better thn nothing! And I think it is better to over estimate.
I also have a calorie counter book. It's actually called "The Ultimate Calorie Counter". It lists over 2500 common foods. What I have done is looked up every ingredient in something and added it together in a meal. It's a little time consuming, but if it is something that you eat normally, it is worth the effort.0 -
Sorry, didn't see the part about discarding the top bun. If they don't list the nut. value of one of their buns separately, some places do, usually the buns are 110 - 150 calories for the whole bun. I would probably think their are closer to 150 because they are pretty big (and yummy!) Usually the top bun accounts for more than half of the calories because it's the bigger side - so I would deduct maybe 85 calories for losing the top half of the bun - carbs I would take the total and maybe half it. It will be a close enough guesstimation anyway!0

That's about what I was thinking on the bun. The burger we have here is called the Hungerbuster (can't find it on the nut. info sheet):ohwell: . Thanks for the good info.
The food dairy is COOL! I can see how after time it would be easier.0 -
:blushing: I know....it's not a food dairy! Oh well, you know what I mean!!0
