so, kind of a stupid question, but how do you weigh food properly? for example, do i weigh green beans when they are raw or cooked? if i have a frozen pizza, frozen french fries, or fresh packaged pasta, when it gives a weight per serving, is that as it comes, or once it has been cooked?

this really depends on the product for example pizza is pre or post cooked normally its a 1/3 or 1/5 of the pizza is a serving. pasta is typically before you cook it mainly it weighs less do to it being dry etc. my rule of thumb is if the nutrition label doesnt say prepared then it is before it is cooked.0 -
