Shake Weight

I know most of you have heard of this silly little contraption known as the Shake Weight, yeah it can stir up some laughs, but has anyone out there used it as a fitness tool? And if so, have you gotten results from it? I own one and for the third time in my life, picked it up. This time I actually did the 6 minute workout that came with it and I am not sure if I am completely out of shape (although that could be the case) or over did it exercising that when time came to do it, I was worn out, but I felt some kind of burn lol. Thoughts?

What the eff is that contraption?!?!? Looks like something in the corner of the room in the "Bring out the Gimp" scene from Pulp Fiction.0 -

Oh geez. Real mature guys.
I actually have done the 6 minute work out several times and it kills my arms/shoulders. I don't know how or why something so silly hurts that bad, but it does. I haven't done it recently but I am sure if you stick with it, you would get OK results.0 -
I'm sorry but any thread with Shake Weight in the title is going to attract a lot of jokes. Not trying to be offensive, just stating facts. Lift normal weights. They're amazing results-wise and less of a gimmick.0

Sorry, yeah. It's a totally legit exercise, which is obvious because it hurts bad, and everything that hurts bad is a Totally Legit Exercise. Everyone should strive toward getting OK results.0 -
I could watch this for hours. Hum, nothing better to do today . . .0 -
yup... I am still immature...0

it's a gimmick. you could grab soup cans out of your pantry and shake them around for 6 minutes and be sore the next day...it doesn't make it a viable exercise for strength training. invest in some real weight and do the research on some proven strength training programs - stronglifts 5x5 or new rules of lifting for women are a great place to start.0
