Looking for ideas for low calorie snacks for our garage bar. Lol, because I'm willing to drink a ton of calories via alcohol, but not on snacks. Obviously, fruits, veggies....those 100 calorie mini rice cakes....anyone else have anything brilliant?

    Baked zucchini chips?

2 medium zucchini, cut into 1/8 slices
1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
    1/8 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper
    2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
    2 egg whites

Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F (245 degrees C).
Mix crumbs, cheese, and pepper into on small bowl, egg whites into another bowl. Dip zucchini slices into the egg whites, then coat the breadcrumb mixture. Place on a greased baking sheet.
Bake for 5 minutes in the preheated oven, then turn over and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, until browned and crispy.

crudités with light dip, or something like spicy bean dip so your full, breaded and baked chicken tenders with homemade honey mustard or light bbq, low sodium olives, homemade boiled dumplings are good. drinking makes me want to eat everything lol, peanutbutter and jelly on crackers is my enemy after a bar night soooo good but not when you eat like 20 crackers

  • It's really important to have "fat" in your "bar food", as fat will hydrolyze the alcohol.

Hi can you expand on that... what is Hydrolyzing and why do we love it?

Edit: Googled it and could understand none of the technical jargon...
