weight loss stopped

Maybe someone has been in my shoes and can offer some advise.

I started my weight loss journey a year ago. Since then I have loss 31 lbs. However since around August I can't seem to lose. I will go up 1-2 and back down the 1-2. I can't seem to break where I'm at.

I have tried changing things up many times. Just cant beak where I'm at.
I have had people say, "well that is the weight your meant to be". I don't like that answer and don't find it true.
I'm so close to goal weight of 135.
I did however drop many inches over the year. I went from a size 12 last December to a size 4 currently.

I'm 5ft 4, 36 years old and I'm at 139.

Oh, for Pete's sake. Why are you so stuck on 135 as the magical-it-will-be-perfect-then number?

That was my goal weight, I know it is just a number. But I'm disapointed that I can't seem to get there.

I undertand that was your "goal" weight that you randomly picked from somewhere. I don't understand why you are so obsessed by it. You're healthy, you're exercising, you are in a size 4. Really, relax.

It's 4 pounds and you wear a size 4, does it really matter what the scale says?

I'd say if you REALLY need that 4 pounds off to change up your workout or eat differently. Eat a maintenance for a week, then go back on reduced calories, kick up your metabolism...

If you are exercising, you may want to up your calories.

It isn't a number I randomly picked, it is what my "height to weight" ratio should be.
I have tried changing my workouts and eating more or eating less. I just keep doing the 1-2 pound yo yo.

Without seeing your diary and seeing what you eat, it's tough to say. Do you do weights or just cardio? If it's the second, add in some weights and you'll lose those 4 pounds. But like the others said, it's 4 pounds, you're a size 4, I'm sure you look amazing already.

I'd say, other than cutting off a limb, you've tried everything to get to your goal and maybe you should just be happy about where you are.

    My workouts consist of:
kickboxing 1 x a week, the gym 3-4 times a week. At the gym I do weights, run and the arc trainer. With the running and the arc, I change the routines each week.
My ratio's weekly are 40% protein, 20% fat, 40% carbs.

    TDEE-20%

So make my calorie goal 20% less of my TDEE?

If you mean according to the BMI, that's a large range, and at 139, you're well within it. Remember that height/weight ration is quite a blunt tool for determining goal weights, and the BMI is more appropriately used for populations, not individuals. There will be a range of different weights that are optimal at any given height. A lot depends on frame size, fat percentage, and how you carry your weight.

Are you not happy at a size 4? Do you actually want to be smaller, or is it all about that weight number?

ETA: I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being 135 at your height, but maybe it's time to start concentrating on what you actually look like, and how you feel about that, rather than an arbitrary number that no one else can actually see, and which might be different from the arbitrary number you'd get on a different scale.

Yep. This will give you a stable day to day calorie target to hit and free you from having to worry about calories burned exercising (as they are factored in to the TDEE estimate).

Just double and triple check your tdee number. This calculator is helpful: http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html

Thanks for the advise. I'm going to just keep mixing it up. I'm determined and won't settle
