Help with protein

I have changed my calorie setting to 40/30/30 as this was recommended after taking a quiz about how I metabolize food.
I am struggling though to get the balance right, it has only been a couple of days. I love pasta and bread etc but do not mind cutting down, just trying to figure out how to get protein into my snacks, meal time is fine as I like tuna/anchovies/cheese etc.
Can anyone recommend some good high protein snacks please.
Thank you :flowerforyou:

Peanut butter (natural - or low sugar), I like smoked almonds... I also use low sugar/low fat yogurt for protien and low-fat cottage cheese!0

Where/how did you take this quiz? Never heard of it, but it sounds interesting...0 -
I like turkey jerky or beef jerky, about 10-15 protein grams per ounce. A glass of milk is a good one too, with a great mix of carbs and protein. A hardboiled egg is a quick and easy on the go protein snack.
I have dairy and egg allergies, so many times, I will just grab an oz or two of whatever meat leftovers there were from dinner the night before.0 -

I find soy is always a good protein source
dairy also
and if you want to you could even use high protein carbohydrate sources, such as legumes or high protein grains...0 -
Cottage cheese is good, if you like it. (That's how I sneak protein into my breakfast, I mix a scoop of cottage cheese with my oatmeal and fruit. Sounds gross but it's actually really good.)
Greek yogurt is another good choice (though a bit pricey), I think it's like 16-20g of protein per serving, depending on the brand. Another thing I often do is just get a latte instead of a coffee -- a tall latte from Starbucks is about 12 g of protein, not too bad!0 -
I went to the link and it's really interesting. I was doing well until I came to the part about no wine.
whine whine whine!
I think I'll keep on doing what I'm doing since it's working and I'm happy! I pair my wine with some fat to slow the speed in which I break down the alcohol and sugars - and I've given up wine a few nights a week.0 -
Trail mix (nuts & raisins) is the easy solution for me, watch the fat on them tho....0
