15 lbs down, feeling healthier, and so much more fit!

Hey guys I just thought I would post and share my excitement about what I've accomplished so far!
So I didn't have a ton of weight to lose when I started MFP (my ultimate goal is to lose about 28 lbs total), but I've never really made a conscious effort to lose weight or get healthy before, so it was a big deal for me.
I started the first week of October 2012, weighing in at 178lbs (I'm 5'10" by the way). The last time I had weighed myself before realizing that I was 178 was months earlier when I weighed around 168-170. so when I realized I had gained some pounds over the summer, I realized I needed to do something before it got worse.
I had started working out regularly once I got back to school at the beginning of September, but I realized I needed to change my diet as well. I remember my first couple weeks of working out again how tired I would get and how quickly I'd want to take a break and give up.
But I stuck at the exercise and after joining MFP, took control of my diet, and I'm happy to say that since joining MFP, I've lost 15 lbs, so I'm more than half way to my ultimate goal
Not only have I lost weight and can see a difference in my body and how my clothes fit (I'm actually having issues cause all of my pants are too big right now but I don't want to buy new ones until I've reached my ultimate goal...), I can see a huge difference in my 'fitness level'. For example, I can now run 20 minutes without stopping, which I never thought I could (or would have the motivation to) do! And I just feel so much healthier in general. So many 'unhealthy' foods I used to love now just make me sick if I eat too much of them/any of them. I'm LOVING getting healthy and seeing results!
So yeah, my story isn't dramatic, and I don't have any pics (maybe when I reach my ultimate goal), but I'm excited so I thought I'd share!

Well done! It doesn't matter if it's 10lb or 100lb, every loss is an achievement! :drinker:
I'm 5'10 too and am aiming for under 174 for my main goal weight (am currently 205, my starting weight was 258)...but am thinking once I get there I might aim for 155-160...great to see someone my height who is pushing for healthy rather than skinny0 -
Thanks everyone! :flowerforyou:0
