Proud but disappointed.

"They" say the more weight you have to lose, the faster it comes off. This isn't the case with me. I have been logging consistently for almost one year and exercising consistently for a good chunk of it - but have only lost 50 pounds. While I am very proud of myself and what I have accomplished, I feel that I should have lost more in this one year span than 50 pounds. I see stories on this board of people who have lost 100 pounds (sometimes more) in less than a year. I guess I'm just green with envy.

I think its awesome that you've lost 50 lbs. If you remain persistent your 50 lbs will eventually be 55, 60 all the way to your goal. Hang in there.
Im just getting started and 50 lbs to go!0 -
Are you eating enough food? Being overweight, I wanted to lose weight quickly so I would limit my calories. Since I have started mfp, I am not doing that. I have tried so many diets, but this is a lifestyle and it's not going to stop.
I cecked to see if your diary was open, but it wasn't. Good luck .0 -
Actually, the closer you get to your goal the slower the loss. And most of the stories of rapid weight loss are men, men lose weight much faster than women. Hang in there, kiddo. You are doing awesome!:flowerforyou:0

Thanks all. I've opened my diary if anyone wants to take a peak. :flowerforyou:0
