diet

I don't really have time to figure out what has a lot of calories or what doesnt.. So I thought of sticking to one meal for 3 months. I know it sounds stupid and I want to know the side effects.
Steamed chicken with no skin + 70grams of brown rice + some veggies. I'm planning on having 4 meals per day. Other than losing chicken as a good food. what else are the side effects?

You're missing out on good fats. Use some olive oil to cook the chicken. Also, might want to have some fruit every now and then. You'll probably get bored pretty fast and not want to eat the same dang thing again & again - big risk of burnout.

if you don't really have time to put in the work, then the chances are you will not stick at this.

i've actually put in a lot of work but now i only have time for 30 minutes of excercise. I know my biggest problem is the way I eat. Let's pretend I can do this meal for 3 months. What is the side effects?

It's a bit hard to comment on your diet when you have given us no weight, height, goals etc. The exercise will be ok. I only did 30mins of walking a day in the beginning and lost 22 kilos.
  • It all depends on also what your drinking and taking on the side, Water or coffie or Orange juce...... If you were to do this do take multi vitamins so you make sure you don't lack too much in things your body needs. I agree you will soon loose the desire for this food and find yourself force feeding it to yourself wich in return could make you vomit it back up. Best of luck if you do this though.

the side effect is getting bored of your food and quiting after a week.
  • ^^ Agreed.

After a few days, you're going to get so sick of it...

Chicken, rice, & steamed veggies.... its way low fat. Why don't you add some healthy fats?

I don't think there will be any horrible side effects. just ask yourself which is going to give you worse side effects - your old lifestyle or this . Cheeseburger and fry or chicken and veggies?

I think your diet will benefit you, if you don't get bored. I like variety.

    Good luck though!

Maybe instead of doing that, you could plan your whole day of eating the day before?

or maybe just make a meal plan for say a week or two and just repeat it... that requires a one time commitment to sitting down and figuring out the difference between which foods are good and which foods are evil... lol

P.S. My husband M-F eats the same lunch at work with small variations - I cook him seasoned boneless skinless chicken breast that he throws in a salad w/a little dressing and maybe some fruit or homemade chili or something on the side... w/o the variation he's repeatedly told me he would give up trying to be "good"... but he's had success w/weightloss on a semi-repetitive meal plan

    Good Luck!

I understand. I would just figure out like 20 meals like that so you are not eating the same thing all the time. I put mine on recipe cards. No thinking required after the initial leg work.
A go to breakfast for me is a small sliced banana 90 and 113 grams of nonfat greek yogurt 65... total 155. I also like a TBS of creamer in my cup of coffee. I put the cup on the scale and measure out 15 grams of creamer. It even saves a measuring spoon every time I have a cup.

I am opposed to just adding straight oil into my food but sliced almonds or cashews would make the dish nice and add in the healthy fats.
