Calorie Intake

My daily intake has been set to 1700 per day. When I work out, the calories burned are tacked on to the 1700. Because of this, I find myself utilizing the extra calories I earned. Should I stick with 1700 calories per day regardless of working out or continue eating according to the new calorie intake?

MFP is set up for you to eat the exercise calories. It's really up to you. Try eating them back for several weeks and assess your progress from there.0

The deficit is already built into that 1700 calories (meaning that without any exercise, assuming you're aiming for a 1lb/wk loss, MFP estimates that you are burning around 2200 calories a day,). So yes, eat back your exercise calories and you will remain at the deficit you chose when you set up your goals.0
