Muscle Growth Resistance

I have been hitting the weights like a mad man and am in general seeing some relatively good comeback following a very large weight loss; however, I seem to be getting some resistance in my Triceps, Upper Back/ Lat Region and Rear Deltoids. I am dealing with a pinched Cervical nerve at C5-C6 and have read that this can cause not only some retardation of muscle growth but can actually lead to wasting! Has anyone out there dealt with this or know anyone who has? Would appreciate any input.
