Activity level . please help!

I have been struggling the last couple of weeks with my weight loss. I believed it had something to do with getting sick, and having excessive sodium from all the soup :-). Lol

But after thinking about it I realized I hadn't been doing much different - I usually eat fairly healthy ( will admit past two days were not as good) but I am usually staying within the 1200 calories mfp advised me to eat. I take kick boxing twice a week and at a min burn like 700 calories each class, and one other day I either do the treadmill, elliptical and weights.

Anyway I had listed my activity level as sedentary since I have a desk job, however we are having a step challenge at work, and have been getting in 4500 steps a day next week will be up to 6500. Should I be possibly change my activity level to active? What would you consider active?

  • On this website they outline sedentary being up to 3,000 steps a day. It sounds like you are on your way to being more active! Perhaps if you maintain 6500 or more choose the lightly active or moderately active setting? In my mind, active would be walking over the 10000 steps they recommend every day, or doing some sort of constant physical motion (such as a carpenter etc...) but we all have different perceptions.
