I know i'm not the only one out there like this.
i feel that when i have a set training plan, coupled with work, grad school and then friends and family, i get more done. like a lot more done.
i'll do two work outs a day, cook plenty of healthy meals, finish assignments before they're due, make time to see friends and family, and perform well at work. my time management skills are at their peak when i have more to do.
but when i have a pretty lax schedule, with plenty of flexibility and free time, i tend to order out more often, sleep at odd hours, rush to finish assignments on their due date, and miss lots of work outs.
this is not really a thread looking for motivation or encouragement for myself. i'm just kinda thinking out loud.

I completely know what you mean and am the same way.
Except for maybe right now. I have so much to do and am having an extremely hard time staying focused on any of it. Maybe I've crossed into the threshold of having so much to do that I'm overwhelmed and don't know where to start? Who knows.
But anyway, in general, you're very right.0 -
I think I know what you mean.0

I agree. When we have more free time, the I'll-do-it-later syndrome starts.0

this is me....to a T....
i'm working full time, raising my daughter, working out, taking care of a dog, taking HR classes, studying my LSAT and taking pole dance...
and I've never juggled my time so well in my life...
had I less to do...i woudln't get half of it done...
what did I do today? Three loads of laundry, took the dog out twice, went grocery shopping, baked bread, made butternut squash soup, made cream cheese frosting for my brownies, visited with a friend AND had a nap....
before I go to bed I'll work out, do the dishes, take the dog out again and have a bath...
I LOVE being busy even if I secretly wish I wasn't....0 -
I'm kind of glad you pointed that out. I think its about achieving a balance. At times, I think this is true for me.0

This is exactly me. I think I just like the routine of having lots to do - I end up planning better. When there's a more relaxed schedule I spend a lot more time sleeping when I don't need it, or just general dossing.0

I completely relate. I am most effective at getting things done (work and home) when I am completely busy. Otherwise procrastinate mode creeps in and the time slips away. Sometimes I do wish I could work less and get in more outdoor workouts. Especially now in the winter when daylight hours are slim.0

Absolutely agree! One of my goals this week is to set a better daily schedule to stay busier and get more accomplished. Thank you for the reminder.0

I've discussed this with friends and colleagues numerous times. 70+ hour weeks mean that we all become incredibly efficient and live by strict schedules. During slow times everyone thinks, oh no rush, so nothing gets done. I think its just human nature.0

Yeah when I tighten up my schedule, Im surprised to find myself working late at the studio, getting in more workouts, finding myself in networking situations, and so much busy busy busy that all of a sudden a month goes past and I am staring at my trail of roadrunner smoke like......... whoa did I just ****in' move and switch jobs and get a girl V?0
