    I'm assuming you're talking trainging, cause the best thing for muscle growth is obviously a calorie surplus + lots of protein.

    Training wise, consistency is king, but again I don't think that's what you were asking.

    To answer your specific question, I do agree that volume, or time under tension, is key, but I think it's important to look at volume as high to medium sets of medium to high reps, and not as going in and doing 15,000 singles.
