    I was down in Tampa last year for New Years Eve and the happenings going on down at the Channelside complex was pretty good..

    Could also check out some of the parties/etc going on up in the Ybor City (a neighbourhood in Tampa)

    Capital One Bowl will be Nebraska against Georgia in Orlando on 1/1/13 =) Tail gating is a blast, Go Big Red!!

    Universal Studios has something going on at the Citywalk.

    Yeah Channelside closed down unfortunately. CityWalk is always fun though I haven't been down there for New Years but I am sure it would be awesome.

    For Tampa you check out Ybor
    For Orlando maybe Downtown Disney?

    My advice probably sucks I usually spend New Years at friends or families house partying like it is going out of style
