Restaurant Meals

I'm curious as to how you estimate calories for restaurant meals. My job (and personal life) involves a lot of eating out. How are folks coming up with calorie estimates?

Search for whatever you are eating and pick something close0

Many restaurants have nutritional info online. We try to frequent those when possible.0

Generally when I know I'm going to be eating out, I'll make an effort to look up their menu online, and consequently the nutritional value of the menu items.
If I'm at a restaurant, not having had prior research, I just kinda guesstimate what the calorie intake of a certain food will be, and eat maybe half of it. Well, I try to anyway...sometimes the dish is so delicious!0 -
If it's online I use it.
If it's some small Mom & Pop type place, I don't give it a lot of thought. You learn how to order, and make a guess.0
