Struggling to diet at university topic

I'm in my third year of university at the moment and, while I've been struggling with my weight for about 10 years, I put a lot of weight on during the term and manage to lose a fair bit while I'm at home. I think that I put weight on while I'm at uni for several reasons - firstly, I am so busy with work during term time that I don't set aside enough time to go to the gym, and I tend to just grab food as I can (which means that I pick up unhealthy meals instead of planning ahead). Secondly, I always think that buying fruit / vegetables / meat is expensive and, even if I find the time to make something in bulk, some goes to waste. Finally, I tend to eat when I'm bored / a bit stressed, and I don't do this when I'm at home with my parents because they are very healthy, and my mum sometimes picks at my weight so I avoid snacking when I'm at home and "go mad" when I'm at uni.

I really want to find a way of losing weight away from home, as I'm only 21 and would really like to be able to just go out and enjoy myself without feeling self-conscious about what I look like. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or encouragement on how to go about sorting a cheap and easy diet and exersize plan that I could stick to?

Any help would be much appreciated! :)
