Runners - warming up in cold weather?

After messing up my calf a few months ago, I'm trying to take my warm ups and cool downs more seriously. But... I'm finding what I've been advised to do - walking 10 minutes before running - profoundly unpleasant in this cold weather.

Can you recommend any indoor warm ups that I can do before I head out the door, so I can hit the cold outdoors running? I don't mind running in the cold, but strolling out there with just my running gear on is horrid, and I hate carrying stuff when I run, so I don't want to go out layered.

Any indoor warmup suggestions very gratefully received.

Jumping jacks, a few squats and lunges, skipping, anything to just get your muscles warm and moving. Then start off at what I call a "wog" for a few minutes before you get into your running rhythm.

    Burpees ...

What I do for a warmup is I start with an initial jog doing a very slow pace. Then I pick up the pace after I feel my body and muscles have warmed up considerably.
