Nervous about running.

My boyfriend has been pressuring me to go jogging/running with him for the past few weeks now. I keep turning him down or procrastinating because I'm not a very good runner. I can't jog for long distances without cramping up or having difficulty breathing. I am really nervous that he'll make fun of me because he's been running 2 miles almost every day for the past year-ish and I... don't.
How can I go running with him without looking like a big baby? Is there any way I can improve?

Is there any way I can improve?
Yes, by getting out there and doing it.
Everyone starts somewhere, and I can promise you that he won't make fun of you. (if he does, he's just an a##hole)
You can do a program like couch to 5k if you want, or you can just go by feel.
Start out by walking...then run for 30 seconds, walk for a minute. Eventually you will figure it out.
I can promise you though, that you wont improve if you don't TRY.0 -

Yep i agree too. Tell him that you are nervous about running, and you get to find out if he is an a-hole or a supportive boyfriend. If he slows his run down to your pace, he's a keeper.0
