Noticing that there are many of us out there still confused about how much to eat, I found some information on WebMD that should be useful.

Mind you, if you are trying to lose weight, the general rule is eat less and exercise more. I'm 36, 160 cm and 58 kg and my recommended daily according to the website is about 2,000 calories. However, to lose weight (at 62 kg) fast I started off with 1,200 cal and daily exercise + half my usual carb intake. Now, I'm going slower at 1,300 cal because once I reached 58 kg, I started to get hungry. When I'm at my ideal weight, I'll increase food intake to 1,500 cal. Personally I think 2,000 cal is still too high for someone who sits at the desk most of the day. That's 3 bacon & cheese burgers a day! What's your calories stories?
