Healthy Ground Turkey Tacos

Ingredients:

whole wheat tortillas
93% lean ground turkey (or ball out and get the 99% lean)
ortega low sodium taco seasoning
spring mix lettuce
tomato
total nonfat 0% fage
tobasco
fat free kraft cheddar cheese


For dinner I'll usually do 2 tacos - I divide the ground turkey container into 1/3s - 1/3 gets you 2 tacos -ish
use about 1/4-1/6 of the taco seasoning - brown that in a pan with some pam or equally non-guilty non-stick spray

brown the whole wheat tortillas in the oven - i make 2

this combination is critical otherwise everything gets mushy

1. whole wheat tortillas
2. lettuce ***always lettuce closest to bread its the mushy buffer
3. ground turkey
4. kraft fat free shredded cheese (so the cheese can get melty and delicious on the hot turkey)
5. tomato
6. 1/6 of container of total plain fage 0% in place of sour cream (1/3 per dinner so it works out with the turkey duh!)
7. top with tobasco to your own flavoring this recipe calories etc.. calls for 2 tbs

If I use a 1/3 of the turkey container I can usually make 2 full tacos, so this is like 3 nights worth of dinner depending upon how you space it out

19 - grams of fat
49 - grams of protein
1,136 - sodium
4 - sugar
