Pasta frequency + Pesto Pasta

Growing up in an Italian household, pasta was our staple and I guess it's stuck with me. I know it's just carbs and not all that great for you...but is eating a small serving around 150gr or so cooked once weekly okay? I have homemade pesto sauce in the freezer that I want to use you (plus craving that sweet taste of pesto mmm), so wonder if this will be okay? It puts me well over my calories for the day...but maybe I could do it this once ?
