Hi,
I am not new to MFP but since I have joined I have rarely stuck to using it more than a week. I have used calorie counting diaries with success. I am determined to continue MFP long term this time. I always finish the diaries having achieved significant weight loss, but then I can't get a hold of another diary and I do well with my eating habits sometimes for months. Then I notice weight creeping back on. This time I have gained about 15kg over the past 12 months

I have a long story, 29 years long, which has bought me to where I am. Happily engaged, childless (after m/c), a devoted animal lover and looking forward to the future. I have suffered from IBS since I was 25 and at times it's SO bad. It is another reason why I am so determined this time to stick at MFP. There have been much worse hurdles in my life which I have overcome so I see myself as a survivor. I have overcome the effects of child abuse, bullying and addiction and know this has made me as strong as I am today, but am aware too, I am weak in some ways as to be unable to maintain a healthy balance when it comes to food and exercise.

I am trained PT and I have a weekly session with my own PT.

So anyone who wants a friend for support or has experienced some of the same feel free to send a request as I think it could be one of the differences between success and failure.

Kindest regards
Virginia:laugh:

    Hi Virginia,

Well I've been on mfp now for over a year, and it has helped me to loose 16kg (the weight of my near 4 year old).

For the first time in my life, I look and feel skinny.

I've never used a pt, 1 cause I can't afford it and 2 well I live in a country town and no real pt available.

So even though I'm pretty much at the end of my journey, I still long in every day and happy to support you.

    Good luck.

    Matilda
