Diet Rite or Tea with Splenda

First, I know that water is the healthiest. I drink plenty of water (about a gallon a day). But, sometimes at dinner I would like to have something with a little more taste because I am tired of water by that time. The Diet Rite sodas have no caffeine, sodium, or carbs. So, that is an option I have considered. But, my favorite drink is sweet tea. So, I have considered tea with Splenda or some other sweetener. I am from the south. So, ice tea is about all I would drink. But, I know it has caffeine (I have trouble finding the brand I like in decaf). Since this is either going to be one can or one glass a day, is it really going to matter? Just wanting some opinions and thoughts.

It doesn't matter, they both would be close to zero calories.

Also, caffeine isn't bad for you, unless you're avoiding it for some specific reason.

I'm not really avoiding it for a specific reason. I know some say it affects their weight loss. I don't think it will mine though. Thanks :)

By the time dinner rolls around for me I'm so over water! haha

Some people will argue that diet soda makes you crave unhealthy foods due to the chemicals in it. My dad's dentist says diet soda is the worst thing for your teeth. More worse than regular soda if you can imagine. I switched to diet soda a long time ago & just now decided to quit it altogether. It's been a month since I've had a soda or any thing other than coffee, hot tea or beer (lol) maybe cranberry juice every once in a while.

I would pick the sweet tea (being a good southern girl) over the soda. Have you looked at the new stuff out now, Stevia? I haven't tried it but it's marketed as being more natural than splenda. I don't know for sure, but maybe that would be an option for you.

    Good luck!
