Has anyone tried hypnosis? I found hypnosis sessions on spotify. Not just for weight loss, but they do have them for different things such as self confidence, financial responsibility, over coming depression. I don't know what to think of them so far. I know I pass out sleeping when I listen to them. lol

Has any of you guys tried it & what do you think of it? How does it make you feel? One word and NEGATIVE comments with no justified reason are NOT welcomed.

    Someone close to me is actually going to hypnosis sessions 1X a week for group sessions and 1 personal session a month (something like that) Use the eye glasses and what not.

    History of this person: Has been trying to lose 120Lbs for the last year but something has always caused them to "fall off the wagon." My belief was binge eating, a huge addiction to diet coke (like 2 liters a day no joke!), and just enjoying eating a lot of food. About two months ago they decided getting Lap band was a choice they wanted. I convinced them that some sort of therapy would be a better option and if that didnt work then Lap band would be a final option.

    His first hypnosis session was the Monday before Thanksgiving, he has not touched diet coke since that day. The day of his first session, his work has free pop for people and he walked right past the diet coke and went straight for the water :)! The biggest shock was on Thanksgiving when he only had one plate of food (In the past he would have eaten 3-4 plates of food) he had smaller portions and ate only ONE plate! To date he has lost 20Lbs since he started his therapy sesssions. The company that does the hypnosis sessions are focused on positive changes, drinking water, stress reduction, exercise, and eating more fruits/veggies.

    I have done some of the hypnosis sessions (they are on CDs) with the glasses and I have even noticed a difference in my thinking. I have been drinking more water, eating more veggies (wanting to eat these foods also!) and staying away from foods that I know are unhealthy, not even having a desire to consume them. I feel more rested, relaxed, and positive over all also.

    To some people it sounds "weird" but he has had great progress with it. As for myself I enjoy doing the sessions because they put me to sleep and I get an awesome nights rest :)!

    I did Past-Life Regression Hypnosis with a person trained through Sylvia Browne's organization. I don't have anything bad to say about it. I remember everything while I was "under," but I'm not sure if it did much good either.

    I tried a program that was on cd (dumped it onto my ipod). I listened to it every night and dropped 15# in a few weeks. It was just simple basic things like eating more slowly, etc...... HOWEVER, it eventually "wore off", and I got bored, stopped listening, and gained it all back.
